The Class 6A No. 5 Sand Springs Sandites beat Bixby, 57-21, in what was more like a warm up before dual state.
Sand Springs (14-4) picked up bonus points thanks to pins from seven different wrestlers.
Brendon Wiseley (113), Blake Jones (132), Preston Medlin (145), Scott Patton (152), Chris Kirby (160), Brooks Dudley (195), Kaden Glass (220), and Josh Fincannon (285) pinned their opponents in the 36-point win.
“The guys wrestled well tonight,” said head coach Jarrod Patterson. “Seth Jones wrestled really well. He beat a tough kid that was undefeated this year, and Brendon Wiseley wrestled up a weight (class) and pinned a tough kid.”
At 106, Christian Forbes started with a forfeit, but Bixby's Karsten Rice got a forfeit at 120, canceling out each other.
Seth Jones (126) beat Bixby’s Zach Blankenship, 6-3, giving the Sandites a 15-6 lead. After Bixby’s Aidan Kirkland beat Joseph Mattison, 8-4, Sand Springs held a 21-9 advantage, but they added to it going on a run of three pins from 145 to 160.
With a 39-21 lead, Sand Springs closed out the dual with three-straight pins from Dudley, Glass and Fincannon.
Glass earned the quickest pin of the night at eighteen seconds, and Fincannon was right behind him at twenty-three seconds.
